Valarie Ross (she/her)
Valarie Ross is the heart and soul behind Sits 'n Wiggles Dog Training. With a deep passion for helping dogs overcome behavioral challenges, Valarie has established herself as a leading expert in the field of canine behavior. She is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant and a Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed, credentials that reflect her commitment to ongoing education and excellence in dog training.
Valarie’s practice is dedicated to working with dogs who struggle with fear, anxiety, stress, over-arousal, reactivity, and aggression. She believes that every dog deserves a chance to live a happy, stress-free life, and she uses positive reinforcement techniques to help them achieve that. Her compassionate, science-based approach not only addresses the root causes of these behaviors but also fosters a trusting and cooperative relationship between the dog and their owner.
Valarie is the official Dog Trainer for WKYC’s Ready Pet Go segment. She is the only Certified Dog Behavior Consultant in Northeast Ohio. She has completed the Aggression in Dogs Masterclass, is a Family Dog Mediator, a Fear Free Certified Professional Trainer, and working towards becoming a Certified Control Unleashed Instructor.
With years of experience and a calm, patient demeanor, Valarie has successfully helped countless dogs and their families find harmony and happiness together. Her work is not just about training dogs; it’s about transforming lives.
Valarie lives with her two dogs, Gracie Bean and Phoenix, and her wife, Hannah. As well as several rescued reptiles. When not training, she enjoys hikes, time at the cabin, reading, and cuddling on the couch with her family.
Bean is Valarie's PTSD Service Dog and makes for a wonderful helper dog. You'll often see the two of them together. Bean is Valarie's heart and ride or die.
Tiffany Shields (she/her)
Service Dog Trainer
Tiffany Shields is a dedicated and skilled Service Dog Trainer, and one of the proud employees of Sits 'n Wiggles Dog Training. Her journey into the world of dog training is deeply personal—she successfully trained her own service dog, Zoe, who has been a steadfast companion and helper. This experience not only honed her training skills but also fueled her passion for helping others achieve the same level of trust and reliability with their service dogs.
Tiffany’s approach to training is rooted in empathy, patience, and a deep understanding of the unique bond between a service dog and their handler. She believes that every service dog should be a well-rounded, dependable partner, capable of providing essential support while also being a loving companion. Her work is dedicated to ensuring that service dogs are not only effective in their roles but also happy, well-adjusted animals.
Through her work at Sits 'n Wiggles, Tiffany is committed to helping individuals with disabilities achieve greater independence and quality of life through the power of well-trained service dogs.
