Here at Sits ‘n Wiggles we care deeply about the safety and health of you and our staff. We have painstakingly developed policies and procedures to ensure the health of everyone. We ask that you please follow these policies as well.

  • Pet Care Appointments
    • Staff Requirements
      • Please use hand sanitizer or wash hands at the start and end of every appointment.
      • Please use disinfecting wipes to wipe down:
        • Lockboxes
        • Keys
        • Door handles
        • Collars, leashes, harnesses, etc
        • Any surfaces that are touched
      • Please wear a clean mask each day.
      • Please wear a cloth mask when inside a client’s home, even if they are not home.
      • Please maintain at least 6 feet of distance from other people at all times.
      • You are encouraged but not required to wear gloves and shoe covers.
      • If a client has notified us that they will be home, please message them via TTP when you leave the appointment just prior to notify them you are on the way.
      • Please do not shake hands with clients if they are home.
    • Client Requirements
      • Please have your dog(s) in an area of the home close to the door we enter to minimize our time in your home.
      • Please have the dog’s collar and harness close to the door or on if it is safe.
      • Please, notify us if you or someone else will be home, no later than 10am the day of your appointment.
        • If someone is home, we will notify you via the TTP app when we are on the way to your home.
          • Please harness, collar, and leash your dog and have them by the door when we arrive. Open the door and allow the
            dog out. We will leash the dog to our leash and remove your leash.
          • OR have the dog outside in a securely fenced in area
        • For safety reasons for our walkers and your family, if we are not informed of someone in the home – we will need to forgo the walk. We will consider this a “completed” walk for billing purposes.
  • Private In-Person Training Appointments
    • Staff Requirements
      • Please use hand sanitizer at the start and end of every appointment.
      • Please use disinfecting wipes to wipe down:
        • Keys
        • Door handles
        • Collars, leashes, harnesses, etc
        • Any surfaces that are touched
      • Please wear a clean mask each day.
      • You are encouraged but not required to wear gloves and shoe covers.
      • Please maintain at least 6 feet of distance from other people at all times.
      • Please do not shake hands with clients.
      • Please meet with clients outside only.
      • Please message client via text upon arrival.
    • Client Requirements
      • Please be ready for appointment at the trainer’s arrival. Including the following:
        • Dog is on harness and leash
        • Be well stocked with small training treats
      • Please meet the trainer outside.
      • Please maintain 6 feet distance from the trainer.
      • Please do not shake hands with the trainer.
      • Please wear a mask.
  • Training Center
    • Staff Requirements
      • Please hand sanitizer at the start and end of every class and between every dog you work with for day camp.
      • Please use disinfecting wipes/spray to disinfect:
        • Keys
        • Door handles
        • Collars, leashes, harnesses, etc
        • Crates
        • Dog toys
        • Tables, chairs, etc between each class
        • Used bathrooms between each class
        • Any surfaces that are touched
      • Please wear a clean mask each day when clients are in the building.
      • Please maintain at least 6 feet of distance from other people at all times.
      • Please do not shake hands with clients
      • Please meet clients outside to bring their dog in for day camp. Use your leash to leash the dog and leave the client’s leash with them.
      • Please allow one client in at a time and direct them to the seat farthest away from the classroom door – filling from the back of the room forward.
      • Please allow one client at a time to exit the building – starting at the front of the room
      • Please ask clients to use hand sanitizer at the start of every group class.
      • Please encourage clients to use the bathrooms closest to them and to wipe down any surfaces they have touched with the provided disinfectant wipes.
      • Please remind clients to remain within their designated area, marked off on the floor, and to move quickly to the center of the floor for any exercises they will be doing that requires more movement (i.e. come when called or loose leash walking)
      • Please do not pet a client’s dog.
      • If you need to use a dog to demonstrate a behavior, please call the dog towards you, clip your leash on then take your client’s leash off. When returning the dog, have the client call the dog to them and clip their leash on 1st, then unclip your leash. Making sure the dog is always secured to a leash.
    • Client Requirements
      • Only 1 adult per dog, please. (We will provide a link for others to watch the class live from home.)
      • Please leave children at home.
      • Please wear a mask during your time in our building.
      • Please stay in your car until a trainer comes to get you.
      • Please do not shake the trainer’s hand.
      • Please use the provided hand sanitizer in the entryway before entering the main area of the building.
      • Please move quickly into the classroom and to the chair farthest away from the classroom door that is not occupied.
      • Please stay within the designated area around your chair.
      • If the trainer calls you to practice an exercise in the middle of the classroom, please move quickly to and from the designated practice area.
      • Please try to minimize the use of the bathrooms, however, if you do need to use the restroom, please use the one closest to you, maintaining a safe distance from other clients. After you have used the restroom, please use the provided disinfectant wipes to sanitize any areas in the restroom that you have touched.
      • When class is over, please allow the person closest to the door to exit 1st.
      • Feel free to use more hand sanitizer on your way out.
